Canning College Perth University Foundation Studies Program
Canning College in Perth has a well-established Foundation Year program that allows International students to complete a pre-university year before continuing on to university. Canning College is accredited to deliver the foundation studies program in Perth and is able to offer guaranteed placement into selected courses if the student completes the Foundation program satisfactorily subject to university requirements and according to a government forumula.
The Foundation Program has been specially designed to meet the needs of international students. It is offered in two modes: January Entry and April Entry. Both courses finish in November. The January intake is a standard program which is suitable for all students who meet minimum entry requirements. April intake is a discrete express course for above average students..
Students in the standard January intake receive 9 hours per week of tuition in ELACS (English language and Australian Cultural Studies) and 4.5 hours per week in other subjects. Students in the April intake receive an extra hour per week of tuition in each unit. At the time of the final examinations in November, these students will have had the same total tuition hours as those who commenced in January.
