RMIT Foundation Studies Program

. RMIT Foundation Year in Melbourne offers a broad range of study options designed to equip International students with the skills they need to study at the tertiary level. Completion of the RMIT Foundation program at an acceptable level means the student can gain entry into most of the tertiary institutions in Australia. The program itself has been designed to familiarise students with their chosen area of study and to be used as the first step in the tertiary study program they would like to pursue.

RMIT have a flexible approach to the delivery of the Foundation Year program and allow for the four completion methods of normal year, June entry accelerated program, August entry special fast-tracked program, and September intake with completion in June the following year for mid-year tertiary intake. Not all streams are available with each intake, but the range is sufficient to satisfy most student requirements.

The courses of study within the program are arranged around the six key areas of Applied Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Computer Science, Business, Art, Design & Communication, Media & Communication, and Architecture, Design & Planning. Within these streams students take five courses in each semester, with some courses being available across a number of streams
